Welcome to this week’s roundup of the stories shaping fashion, luxury and creativity. From a major creative departure at Saint Laurent to shifting dynamics in the luxury market, new collaborations and strategic acquisitions, here’s what’s moving the industry this week.
HIGHLIGHTS
FASHION
After ten years at the helm of Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello is stepping down as Creative Director, closing a defining chapter in the house’s recent history. Since his appointment in 2016, he has shaped a distinctive vision built on sensuality, sharp tailoring and modern sophistication.
His Spring/Summer 2027 show in Paris marked his final collection for the house. Kering has confirmed that new creative leadership will be announced soon.
BUSINESS
LVMH reported €18.5 billion in revenue for the third quarter of 2026, with organic growth of 1%. Fashion & Leather Goods, home to Louis Vuitton and Dior, recorded a 5% organic sales decline to €8.25 billion.
While the group saw continued growth in the United States, a less buoyant consumer environment in China continued to weigh on performance, highlighting the challenges facing the global luxury market.
JEWELRY
Botswana is reportedly nearing an agreement with the Global Diamond Consortium, the preferred bidder for De Beers, that could increase its stake in the diamond group from 15% to around 25%.
Led by former De Beers CEO Gareth Penny, the consortium is seeking to acquire the business from Anglo American. The negotiations could mark a significant shift in the ownership of one of the world’s most influential diamond producers, as the industry navigates weaker demand and growing competition from lab-grown stones.
COLLABORATION
Gigi Hadid has partnered with Italian label Liu Jo on The Gigi Hadid Edit, a denim-focused selection celebrating the wardrobe staple.
The collaboration comes as Hadid expands her own brand, Guest in Residence, into denim with its first jeans collection for Fall 2026, moving beyond the cashmere knitwear that defined its launch.
