Dear {{firstName}}, welcome to this week’s roundup of the developments shaping our industry, where creativity, commerce and innovation continue to reshape culture. From major creative appointments and cultural spectacles to new business ventures and shifts across fashion and luxury, here are the stories catching our attention this week.
HIGHLIGHTS
FASHION
Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 opened with a bold statement from Prada, where Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons built all 63 looks around a single garment: the skirt. The week’s defining spectacle was Vogue World: Milano, which transformed the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II into a five-act celebration of Italian fashion, craftsmanship, culture and innovation.
BUSINESS
Donatella Versace is returning to creative leadership through a new independent fashion and beauty venture in partnership with Revolve Group. As Chief Creative Officer, she will shape the venture’s creative vision, products, collaborations and cultural direction. The business will launch first in beauty, before expanding into fashion.
DEPARTURE
After nearly six years at Diesel, Glenn Martens has stepped down as Artistic Director, closing a transformative chapter for the denim house. His final collection for the brand was presented in Milan on September 22, marking the end of his tenure.
LUXURY
The Arnault family is moving to simplify its ownership structure of LVMH through a planned merger of Agache with Christian Dior. Following the transaction, the new Agache entity is expected to hold 49.76% of LVMH’s share capital and 65.55% of its voting rights, consolidating the family’s stake in the luxury group. The transaction is expected to take place in December.
A FEW UPDATES
Dario Vitale is appointed Creative Director of Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani Accessories, becoming the first person outside the Armani family to hold the role.
Aimé Leon Dore and The North Face return with their second collaboration, a 30-piece Fall/Winter 2026 collection.
L’Oréal has overtaken LVMH in market capitalisation, becoming France’s most valuable listed company by market value.
