Welcome to this week’s roundup of the developments shaping our industry, where creativity, commerce and innovation continue to reshape culture. From the close of Paris Fashion Week and major shifts in sportswear to new creative collaborations, beauty initiatives and the latest moves across fashion and luxury, here’s what’s catching our attention this week.
HIGHLIGHTS
FASHION
Paris Fashion Week wrapped on October 6, bringing the Spring/Summer 2027 fashion month to a close after nine days of shows and presentations. The final days saw Chanel, Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton take centre stage, with Nicolas Ghesquière closing the Paris calendar for Louis Vuitton with a futuristic collection that played with fluid silhouettes, movement and sci-fi references.
BUSINESS
ANTA Sports has completed its acquisition of a 29.06% stake in PUMA from Artémis, the Pinault family’s investment company, for €1.505bn. The deal makes ANTA PUMA’s largest shareholder. While ANTA plans to support PUMA’s global growth, the German sportswear company will retain its independent governance, brand identity and corporate culture.
COLLABORATION
Mattel Creations brings Barbie and Ken into the playful world of Jean-Charles de Castelbajac with a new Barbie Signature collaboration. The collectible dolls reinterpret some of the designer’s most recognisable codes, including his iconic Teddy Bear coat, bold primary colours and Pop Art-inspired graphics bringing together fashion, art and one of pop culture’s most enduring icons.
BUSINESS
Coperni is facing three takeover bids from AA Investments, Victor Bughin and Philippe Sayada as the French label navigates judicial restructuring. Proposals range from retaining founders Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant to preserving all 26 jobs and the brand’s creative identity. A decision is expected by December 11, 2026.
