Welcome to this week’s roundup of the developments shaping our industry, where creativity, commerce and innovation continue to reshape culture. From major creative appointments and cultural moments to significant shifts across fashion and luxury, here are some of the stories catching our attention this week.
HIGHLIGHTS
FASHION
Off-White has officially parted ways with creative director Ib Kamara, who joined the label in 2022. Described as a mutual decision with Bluestar Alliance, the departure marks another turning point for the house, which changed ownership from LVMH to Bluestar in 2024. No successor has yet been announced. Beyond Off-White, Kamara continues to shape the fashion landscape through his work as a stylist, creative director and image-maker including the cover of LE BOOK’s upcoming print edition.
ECONOMY
Ermenegildo Zegna Group reported first-half 2026 operating profit of €68.5 million, up 11.7% year-on-year, while adjusted EBIT reached €74.5 million. The performance was driven by strong momentum at the ZEGNA brand, with revenues up 11.2%, alongside continued growth in direct-to-consumer sales. Group revenue reached €987.3 million, up 6%, although reported net profit declined to €28.4 million, partly reflecting non-cash financial effects in the prior-year period.
CULTURE
From 2 October 2026 to 2 May 2027, Paris’ Musée des Arts Décoratifs will present the first major French exhibition dedicated to Brazilian photographer Rafael Pavarotti. Born in Pará in 1993, Pavarotti is known for his richly saturated, powerful imagery across fashion, celebrity portraiture and advertising. The exhibition brings together more than 200 prints, including magazine covers, portraits and campaigns for major fashion houses.
BUSINESS
After nearly 30 years under LVMH, Marc Jacobs has officially changed hands, with WHP Global and G-III Apparel Group completing their approximately $925 million acquisition on September 1. The two companies now share ownership of the brand's intellectual property through a 50/50 joint venture, while G-III takes over its operating business across wholesale, retail and e-commerce. Marc Jacobs remains Founder and Creative Director, with the new owners aiming to accelerate the brand’s global growth.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has cancelled its planned John Galliano exhibition, “John Galliano: Horizons,” originally scheduled for spring 2027.
